Ashtanga Yoga in the tradition of Sri K. Pattabhi Jois is a dynamic form of Hatha Yoga that asks you to unroll your mat a staggering six days a week. It is sometimes so demanding as to be intimidating. Many people assume that because they cannot easily bend their bodies into the pretzel-like positions of the Ashtanga Yoga Primary Series that this method is not for them. The sole qualification for the practice of Ashtanga Yoga is to love your practice and to “show up” on your mat as much as possible.
